Software Developer - ERP / Case Management
Overview
The Government Services Integration Cluster (Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement) is seeking a Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft to join an agile, multi-disciplinary team. The successful consultant will deliver advanced digital solutions across all phases of the SDLC within large-scale ERP environments. This is a hands-on technical role focused on PeopleSoft development, system configuration, and business process automation to drive service delivery excellence and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise across all phases of the SDLC, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance in multi-platform environments.
- Develop and maintain solutions within large-scale Oracle PeopleSoft ERP systems, supporting business process automation and service delivery improvements.
- Build and configure PeopleSoft components using Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher.
- Develop and configure Fluid UI elements including navigation, tiles, dashboards, Activity Guides, and role-based security.
- Support PeopleSoft HCM modules including Absence Management, Time and Labour, Benefits, and Payroll.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to enable business insight discovery.
- Evaluate and recommend acquisition of applications and develop new systems or system modifications as required.
- Perform unit testing and support system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) from a technical perspective, including technical spec walkthroughs with testers and clients.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile, self-directed team alongside managers, solution designers, and business-focused IT professionals.
- Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies, best practices, and toolsets to deliver modern digital solutions.
Must-Have Requirements
- In-depth, hands-on experience with PeopleSoft system development tools including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher.
- Demonstrated experience with Fluid UI development: configuring navigation, tiles, dashboards, Activity Guides, and managing role-based security.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM modules, with a focus on Absence Management, Time and Labour, Benefits, and Payroll.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft security, workflow, and tools such as PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, and Data Mover.
- Knowledge of Oracle database management systems and application database administration.
- Experience developing Linux shell scripts.
- Experience in public sector or Ontario Government environments.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite role, five days per week, based at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto. Candidates must be eligible for a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) security clearance. The team operates in an agile, self-directed environment with close collaboration across developers, solution designers, and business stakeholders.
