Rate: $88.28/hr

Responsible for translating technical system specifications into working, tested applications. Duties include developing programming specifications, writing and generating code, conducting unit tests, and supporting implementation, conversion, and migration activities. Troubleshoots technical issues during software operation and provides technical assistance as required.

General Responsibilities
  • Translate detailed technical specifications into functional applications.
  • Develop programming specifications and code applications.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Support software implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals across the SDLC.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document applications.
  • Work with object-oriented and third-generation development tools.
  • Apply structured methodologies for application design and development.
  • Work with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
  • Use information retrieval packages and query languages.
  • Work with communication protocols and middleware.
  • Elicit and document requirements from diverse stakeholders.
  • Provide technical problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience programming Internet-ready applications.
  • Knowledge of rapid application development (RAD) methods.
  • Understanding of Information Management principles and practices.
  • Experience with middleware, gateways, and installation script analysis.
  • Ability to provide post-implementation support and technical issue resolution.
  • Experience conducting design walkthroughs.
  • Knowledge of AODA standards.
  • Ability to produce user and system documentation.
Additional Skills for Oracle Software Developer
  • Impact assessments for Oracle E-Business customizations.
  • Strong experience in Accounts Receivable Collections conversions.
  • Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripts, and ODI experience.
  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV modules.
  • SQL tuning and partition table expertise.
  • Experience with data warehouse, ETL, and OBIEE.
  • Experience with Java and Oracle ADF.
Siebel Development Skills – 40%
  • 10+ years Siebel configuration, design, development, and integration.
  • 5+ years Siebel integration with Adobe AEM, J2EE, etc.
  • 5+ years Siebel EIM/EAI experience.
  • 3+ years Siebel IP18 configuration and development.
  • Experience with Assignment Manager, Business Rules, Workflow, Applets, Views, Screens, and Siebel Business Layer objects.
  • Experience with Siebel Tools and Web Templates.
  • Experience with Siebel Open UI classes and methods.
  • Siebel 8.x or above certification.
  • UI integration (embedding external apps, exposing Siebel externally).
  • Experience configuring Siebel migration application.
  • Experience administering Siebel Approval Manager.
Report Development Skills – 35%
  • OBIEE and Power BI report development.
  • HTML5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Open UI PM/PR, manifest files, and mapping files.
Soft Skills – 20%
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.

Public Sector Experience – 5%
  • Experience with Siebel modules such as Public Sector CRM, Contracts, Marketing, Partner Portal, Campaign Management, Resource Manager, and eService.
  • Experience with Grants Management is an asset.
