Public Sector Experience: Enterprise Financial Services Division – Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement
Contract End Date: March 31, 2026 *
Rate: $71.72/hr

Responsible for providing testing strategy, developing test plans, selecting testing tools, and identifying resource needs. Plans and executes testing activities for large GUI and non-GUI systems, including systems integration testing, specialized testing, and user acceptance testing. Works with testing and IT leads to support the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of required systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on testing strategy, plans, tools, and resource requirements.
  • Plan and conduct testing for large-scale GUI and non-GUI systems.
  • Execute systems integration, functional, non-functional, and stress tests.
  • Develop test plans, scripts, test cases, and test data.
  • Support UAT activities and work with project IT leads.
  • Apply quality assurance principles, tools, and structured methodologies.
  • Conduct unit, integration, load, performance, and system testing.
  • Create testing documentation across all SDLC phases.
  • Use CASE tools, data query tools, automated test tools, and version control systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support ongoing QA activities.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language.
  • Experience with information retrieval packages.
  • Experience with object-oriented testing methods.
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles.
  • Understanding of AODA accessibility standards.
  • Experience coding automated test scripts and testing COTS applications.
Software Testing Soft Skills – 40%
  • Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to present new ideas and solution approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Software Testing Experience – 35%
  • 8+ years of QA testing experience.
  • 5+ years testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
  • Experience testing Oracle Siebel CRM (asset).
  • Experience with Siebel Test Automation (asset).
  • Experience testing Adobe AEM (asset).
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Technical Skills – 20%
  • Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience documenting test cases and execution plans.
  • Experience with QMetry (asset).
  • Knowledge of GUI/API automation tools (asset).
  • Ability to write SQL queries (asset).
  • Understanding of data models, Java, and JavaScript (assets).
Public Sector Experience – 5%
  • Experience with Siebel Public Sector modules such as CRM, Contracts, Lead Management, Partner Portal, Campaign Management, Marketing, Resource Manager, and eService.
  • Experience with Case Management (asset).
