About the Role: Lotus IT Solutions ("Lotus IT") is seeking an Intermediate Technical Recruiter to support end-to-end recruiting activities for IT contract and full-time roles across multiple public and private sector clients. The recruiter will help source, screen, shortlist, and coordinate high-quality candidates for roles such as Software Developers, Analysts, QA Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and other IT positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and attract qualified IT candidates through job boards, networking, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, evaluate candidate technical fit, and shortlist suitable profiles.
  • Understand job descriptions for technical roles and evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify technical requirements and role expectations.
  • Create accurate candidate summaries and submit shortlisted profiles for review.
  • Coordinate interviews, track candidate progress, and maintain organized recruitment pipelines.
  • Assist with onboarding coordination, documentation gathering, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date candidate databases and recruitment trackers.
  • Support recruitment for OPS/VOR roles, private-sector clients, and internal staffing needs.
Must-Have Skills
  • 1–4 years of experience as a technical recruiter or IT talent acquisition specialist.
  • Understanding of IT roles including developers, analysts, testers, cloud/DevOps, and data specialists.
  • Ability to perform technical screening (skills matching, keyword evaluation, basic technology understanding).
  • Experience working with job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, and applicant tracking tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with candidates professionally.
  • Experience shortlisting candidates for high-volume or fast-paced contract roles.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience recruiting for Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or VOR roles.
  • Knowledge of IT skillsets such as Java, .NET, SQL, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and QA basics.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stage interview processes.
  • Ability to assess candidate fit beyond the resume (soft skills, professionalism, communication).
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements, background checks, and onboarding workflows.

  • End Date: 6 Months from Start (Extension Possible Based on Performance)
